Newport Plum (Prunus cerasifera ‘Newport’)  Bare Root

Not only is the Newport a remarkably beautiful tree, it’s also the hardiest and most reliable of the purple leaf plums. The Newport plum grows 15-20 feet in height and equal spread.  It grows in an attractive round form.  Fragrant whitish-pink blossoms emerge along branches, followed by deep purple foliage when in full sun.  The leaves turn reddish purple in the fall.  It is usually fruitless.
          The Newport plum is adaptable to various soil types.  It stands up to extreme climate conditions.
