Summer Splendor Tatarian Maple (Acer tataricum ‘Actar’) Bare Root

This small, rounded tree reaches a height of 15-20’ and width of 10-15’.  It has brilliant red samara (seed clusters) that appear in July, ¾ to 1” long.  Sometimes the bright red samaras are in such contrast to the green leaves, the tree almost appears to be in flower.  The medium green summer leaves turn yellow, orange or red to reddish-brown in fall.
            Tatarian Maples tolerate drought and alkaline soil.
